Our Scrapbook

Over the past several years, we have been privileged to have some wonderful press coverage.

Steve Pool is our well known weatherman on the local ABC affiliate, KOMO 4.  Each year, he features bright and colorfully decorated homes on each broadcast as well as the KOMO website.  We have been featured each year for the past 10 years.   Mr. Pool joined us on site in 1997 as we kicked off our food drive and again in 2004 & 2005!  We credit Steve and KOMO for helping us to get this started.  Click on the logo at the left to view the current listings. (See Snohomish County)  Or, you can even see last year's listing too!

KOMO's Rachelle Murcia was here with us bright and early on the morning of December 6, 2006 broadcasting live from 5 - 7 AM on their morning show.  This was definitely our earliest light show!  She did a wonderful feature that was shown throughout the rest of the day about the needs of the food bank and how the recent snow affected the donations.  Click on the KOMOTV.COM logo at the left to read the article on KOMO's web site and be sure to click on "Watch the Video" (under the picture) to see her story.

And then a bit of sad news struck on December 30, 2005.

This wonderful book by David Seidman was published in 2003.  Much to our surprise, we are listed as one of  7 sights in Washington to see Christmas lights.  We are on pages 169 & 175 where he notes "this neighborhood of about a dozen homes is one of the brightest places in the region."
